Scholarship Application
Scholarship applications are reviewed by The Recovery Barre’s nonprofit leadership using a Board-approved scoring rubric. Each application is evaluated thoroughly and with care.
Reviewers consider the following criteria:
-
Alignment with The Recovery Barre’s mission to expand access to wellness in sobriety through movement
-
Demonstrated financial need or access barriers that would otherwise prevent participation
-
Authentic, reflective responses written in the applicant’s own voice
-
Relevant experience that demonstrates readiness to confidently lead group discussion and/or movement-based exercise
-
Clear, immediate, and tangible plans to implement Recovery Barre programming within recovery-centered communities
Applicants are encouraged to write honestly, personally, and in their own words. Use of AI-generated content may result in an application being deemed ineligible. All applications are reviewed confidentially and through a trauma-informed, equity-focused lens. Scholarship decisions are based on mission alignment, readiness, relevant experience, financial need, and responsible stewardship of scholarship funds.
