Scholarship Application
Scholarship applications are reviewed by The Recovery Barre’s nonprofit leadership using a board-approved scoring rubric to ensure equity and the responsible stewardship of funds. Each application is evaluated thoroughly and with care.
Reviewers consider the following criteria:
-
Alignment with The Recovery Barre’s mission to expand access to wellness in sobriety through movement
-
Demonstrated financial need or barriers that would otherwise prevent participation
-
Self-awareness to create accessible, inclusive, and welcoming spaces for movement and connection
-
Stability and reliability to consistently lead classes with timeliness, preparedness, and integrity
-
Relevant experience that demonstrates the desire and readiness to lead peer discussion and/or movement
-
Authentic, reflective responses written in your own voice (Please note: We check against AI-generated responses, which may result in an application being deemed ineligible)
-
Clear, tangible plans for using your The Recovery Barre training to lead classes
